Work Level: 2B

Want to change the world?
Unilever is one of the world’s leading suppliers of Food, Home and Personal Care products with sales in over 190 countries and reaching 2 billion consumers a day. Unilever has more than 400 brands found in homes around the world, including Persil, Omo, Dove, Knorr, Domestos, Hellmann’s, Wall’s, Ben & Jerry’s, Marmite, Magnum and Lynx. We want to move towards a connected world where everyone can live well and within the natural limits of the planet. That’s why our purpose is “to make sustainable living commonplace”.
As one of the world’s largest users of Fragrances, we recognise that creating exceptional fragrances is at the heart of delivering extraordinary consumer experiences and driving world-leading products. Superior fragrances play a critical role in the delivery of unmissable superiority for Unilever. To support this, we have embarked on a fragrance transformation journey with expert fragrance teams, designing and formulating affordable winning fragrances for our Personal Care, Beauty & Wellbeing and Home Care Business Groups.

Purpose of the Role
Are you ready to reinvent how we understand consumers? We are looking for a visionary Digital CTI Manager to lead the transformation of Consumer Technical Insight (CTI) through a digital-first lens. This role will pioneer the development and deployment of next-generation digital testing methods—replacing traditional, time-consuming, and costly consumer tests with agile, AI-powered alternatives. The successful candidate will drive innovation through strategic partnerships, automation, and intelligent systems, while working closely with internal digital, data, and modelling teams to embed digital CTI into the heart of product development.
By going digital, you will help us move faster, test smarter, and create better products—without the wait. Think fewer spreadsheets, more smart tools. Less manual testing, more predictive power. It’s about turning weeks of consumer testing into hours of insight, freeing up teams to focus on what really matters: delighting consumers with products that just work. And yes, it’ll save time, money, and a few headaches along the way.

Key Responsibilities
Digital Method Development
Lead the design and implementation of novel digital CTI methodologies that simulate or replace physical consumer testing.
Partner with external technology providers, start-ups, and research institutions to co-develop cutting-edge digital testing tools.
AI & Automation
Identify opportunities to leverage AI, machine learning, and autonomous agents to simplify and automate standard CTI processes.
Collaborate with internal AI and data science teams to build predictive models that enhance consumer understanding and product performance evaluation.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work together with the digital teams to ensure seamless integration of CTI tools into broader digital ecosystems.
Act as a digital CTI ambassador across R&D, Marketing, and Consumer Insight teams, translating business needs into scalable digital solutions.
Team Leadership
Build internal capability by promoting digital literacy and championing a test-and-learn mindset.
Promote a strong digital and data culture across the CTI function, encouraging curiosity, confidence, and creativity in how data is used to understand consumers.
Strategic Impact
Define and track KPIs to measure the impact of digital CTI on speed, cost, and insight quality.
Contribute to the long-term digital strategy of the Fragrance House by embedding digital CTI into innovation pipelines and product development cycles.

Key Requirements
Proven experience in CTI, consumer research, or digital innovation roles, ideally within FMCG or consumer product industries.
Experience developing digital testing methods, AI/ML applications, and automation technologies.
Experience working with or managing external technology partners and start-ups.
Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to influence across functions.
Experience leading small teams and driving change in complex, matrixed environments.
Highly driven, with a passion for making things happen
