JOB PURPOSE:
We’re entering a thrilling new chapter at the Magnum Ice Cream Company. As of December, we’ll become a standalone legal entity, and by the following year, we’ll fully separate our HR systems. This transformation offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of our HR technology landscape from the ground up.
We’re looking for a Workday & HR Technology Systems Expert to join our HR Technology team. This pivotal role will act as the bridge between our Systems Integrator (SI) team—transitioning later to our application maintenance team—and our global HR process owners. You’ll be instrumental in stabilizing, optimizing, and evolving our Workday HCM and other integrated HR systems, ensuring they support our business needs and growth ambitions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This role will be responsible for the successful enablement of a standalone Ice Cream company that is geared for future success as with ‘the best HR Technology team in the industry’. The role will be part of a dedicated, multi-disciplinary team led by the Ice Cream HR Technology Lead with the following responsibilities:
- System Ownership & Optimization
- Lead configuration, testing, and deployment of Workday (and other HR systems) enhancements and new features.
- Ensure system integrity, data quality, and compliance with GDPR and other relevant regulations.
- Manage and optimize integrations between Workday and other HR systems (e.g., payroll, time & attendance).
- Stakeholder Collaboration
- Serve as the primary liaison between technical support teams and global HR process owners.
- Translate business requirements into scalable system solutions.
- Collaborate with HR COEs, IT, and external vendors to deliver robust and future-ready HR technology.
- Project & Change Management
- Lead HR technology initiatives including module rollouts, upgrades, and process improvements.
- Support change management and training efforts to ensure smooth adoption.
- Monitor system performance and proactively identify opportunities for enhancement.
- Reporting & Analytics
- Support HR reporting needs, including compliance and workforce analytics.
- Give input to dashboards and reports creating using Workday and external BI tools.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:
Experiences & Qualifications
The preferred candidate would have 8+ years in HR with at least 5 years in a workday deployment role and the following key qualifications:
• Master’s degree in HR, IT, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in HRIS or HR Technology roles, with deep expertise in Workday HCM.
• Proven experience with system integrations, data governance, and stakeholder management.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Multiple Workday pro-certifications (e.g., HCM, Recruiting); additional certifications are a plus.
Preferred Skills & Experience
• Experience leading Core HCM in multiple End to End Workday HCM implementation projects from initiation to completion, including requirements gathering, configuration, testing, and deployment.
• Prior experience implementing Workday HCM or relevant on-premise or cloud-based platforms.
• Thrive in a diverse, dynamic environment, meet deadlines despite conflicting demands, analytical thinking and problem solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and can clearly articulate complex messages and requirements.
• Familiarity with Workday Studio, EIB, BIRT, and middleware platforms (e.g., Boomi, MuleSoft).
• Experience in a global HR environment with multiple systems and stakeholders.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and lead diverse teams through complex implementations.
• Strong project leadership skills, including reporting on progress and managing cross-functional teams.
• Experience with Workday’s data migration tools and security framework.
• Fluency in English
