JOB PURPOSE

We’re looking for a strategic and organized individual to support the planning and execution of customer and sales strategies for our Home Care products in Ethiopia. This role involves working closely with sales, marketing, and retail teams to ensure our products are well-distributed, visible, and promoted effectively in stores.
WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE
1. Channel & Commercial Strategy
Develop and implement sales strategies for different types of stores and customers.
Help plan joint business activities with key retailers.
Set goals for product availability and visibility in stores.
2. Promotions & Budget Management
Manage promotional budgets and ensure they are used effectively.
Plan and analyze shopper and trade promotions to boost sales.
Monitor pricing and competitor activities to stay competitive.
3. In-Store Marketing & Visibility
Design and implement shelf layouts (planograms) and promotional materials.
Lead in-store campaigns and media activities to attract shoppers.
Plan and review store activations to improve customer engagement.
4. Sales Forecasting & Planning
Lead the sales forecasting process by combining input from different teams.
Ensure alignment between product plans and business goals.
5. Shopper Insights & Retail Engagement
Gather and analyze shopper behavior and sales data.
Create compelling sales stories for new product launches or pricing changes.
Conduct store visits to check product placement and gather market feedback.
6. Product Launch & Innovation Support
Support new product launches with clear plans for distribution and promotion.
Align marketing plans with retail strategies.
7. Inventory & Product Pipeline Management
Monitor stock levels and manage slow-moving products to reduce waste.
8. Team & Trade Engagement
Motivate and reward field teams.
Organize trade events to promote products and strengthen relationships with retailers.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
Experiences & Qualifications
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.
A Master’s degree or MBA is a plus but not mandatory.

Experience
3–5 years of experience in sales, trade marketing, customer development or marketing, preferably in the FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) sector.
Expereince working in field sales.
Experience working with retailers, distributors, or key accounts is a plus.
Proven track record in promotion planning, budget management, and in-store execution.
Familiarity with data analysis tools (e.g., Nielsen, Kantar) and sales performance tracking.

Collaboration & Communication – Strong teamwork across departments and clear communication with stakeholders. Project & Launch Management – Coordinating product launches and managing stock pipelines. Technical Proficiency – Comfortable using Excel, PowerPoint, and data tools like Nielsen or Kantar.
