JOB PURPOSE

The Nutrition TIM specialist focuses on the implementation of the types of projects listed below, which also details their role:

Product Innovation: Ensure that product innovation projects are implemented at the plant in an orderly and harmonized manner in accordance with Unilever standards approved by the Region, from a Technology, Safety, and Quality perspective.

Plant Support: Provide support and coordinate on-site projects for process improvement, loss reduction, supply security, material efficiency, and cost-saving projects, both internal and Supply Management initiatives.

Technological Innovation: Serve as custodians of technological knowledge at the plant by developing best practices and implementing them under the highest Unilever standards and the legislation of the country where the project is being developed.

The TIM specialist for foods is responsible for:

Innovation:
1. Actively participate in the Early Product Management (EPM) - IPM process.
2. Provide input for the conversion cost calculation (Head Count, HH, HM, etc.).
3. Participate in all risk assessments (QRMP, Risk Assessment) and ensure the implementation of the corresponding actions for the department. Alert the plant to potential risks arising from innovations.
4. Consolidate KPIs with the corresponding departments in each plant.
5. Issue industrial test reports, consolidating information from all involved areas.
6. Prepare the Launch Monitoring Plan prior to the launch of an innovation.
7. Translate innovation specifications and standards into plant processes.
8. Support and lead the commissioning team during the implementation of innovations.
9. Monitor the performance of implemented innovations and communicate these results to the commissioning team (including stakeholders).
10. Use WCM tools to minimize potential losses. Share lessons learned.
11. Prepare the Transfer Pack for delivery to the new product plant.
12. Participate in post-launch reviews.

Plant Support:
1. Support EPM and EEM for innovation rollout processes and/or production capacity increases.
2. Coordinate with Manufacturing on initiatives for process improvement, waste reduction, material improvements, validation of materials at supply risk, and cost-saving projects, conducting testing and ensuring the successful implementation of the proposed initiatives.
3. Consolidate KPIs for the evaluation of Plant Support projects.
4. As the technical reference for the category at the plant, they will support process and material improvement initiatives, agreeing on the type and number of industrial tests to be performed for material validation.
5. Support SM in the validation of new specifications for raw materials and packaging materials.
6. Prepare industrial test reports as well as the commissioning report for implemented projects.
7. Organize technology courses based on identified needs.

Technological Innovation:
1. Serve as guardians of technological knowledge at the plant through the development and implementation of new practices.

  • Technical knowledge of equipment, machinery, safety and quality standards, manufacturing engineering knowledge.
