Job Title: Market Security Lead (Thailand Cambodia Laos) Department: Line Manager: Supply Chain; Security Head of Market Security, Grater Asia Market Security Sponsor: Location (City, Country): Work Level Supply Chain Thailand Main Job Purpose: Reporting to the Head of Market Security, Grater Asia, the Market Security Lead (MSL) will lead the security function in Thailand, Cambodia, and Laos. Responsible for the delivery of the security program the markets require, this role will ensure our people and assets are protected. The MSL is tasked with the management of security framework, which will assess market threats and mitigate the risk to a manageable level. He/she will also coordinate the security program and site security risk assessment with Site SHE team. To deliver the market security program, the MSL will work closely with Local Security Officers (LSO). A high level of assurance is required to ensure that security activities and procedures match the local level of risk, whilst being compliant with Group standards. Security program implemented must be integrated with business functions, and the MSL will be required to work closely with leaders from HR, Legal, IT, Procurement and Business Integrity areas. Effective engagement with third party security providers and government agencies is also required. Personal Skills and Competencies: Security advisor to the market level leadership team and point of contact for security related matters. Leadership of the security function in the market; ability to lead, coordinate and motivate site SHE team to execute their site security program Critical analysis; able to analyse existing and emerging threats and risks to people, assets, information and brands. Effective briefing and influence skills required to implement an agreed and resourced market security plan Network skills; maintain and develop a professional network within the region to include industry SMEs and law enforcement agencies. Professional Security Capabilities and Tasks Work with market level leadership teams to analyse security threats and risks to our people and business. Implement security mitigation plans and establish relevant counter-measures. Escalate higher-level risks as required. Work with secure travel team to communicate security advice to travelers travelling or operating in high-risk countries or regions. Work with business leaders to support Incident Management effort. Lead country level implementation of People Accountability System and Application. Provide security guidance to sales and marketing team Oversee logistics security operation led by 3PL security team Ensure the security framework is applied effectively at site and market level. Oversee the conduct of site security risk assessments to validate effectiveness’ of security controls (people, processes and technology). Lead the implementation of effective and cost-efficient holistic security solutions for the market. Conduct a physical security Risk Assessment standard for new Unilever sites or post major refurbishment, use or occupancy change, and major change to threat assessment. Assessments must incorporate the Group led standards for ‘Security by Design’. Understand and apply the full range of corporate investigative capabilities, whilst ensuring their lawful application. Coordinate and deliver security capability training required by employees, security teams and third-party partners. Possess contractual assessment skills for the implementation and review of security contracts. Prepare reports including; country security incident reporting, intelligence briefing, threats assessments and investigative reports. Utilize an active regional security network to share security information, trends and evolving operational practice. Participate in industry forums and understand emerging security technologies. Key Deliverables: Timely security advice to regional and country business leaders Market security plan that complies with the Global Security Framework. To cover threat and risk analysis, mitigation and resource plans. Security input to regional and country Incident Management and Business Continuity Programmes Routine security reporting and analysis that measures cost/benefit of security programme Key Performance Indicators: Security KPIs indicate prevailing security activity and trends. Judgement using market benchmarks must be applied to understand the role of the CSO for improving and deteriorating statistics; political/security events will influence market security levels. Recordable security incidents in the market, including: Street crime and robbery Kidnap and extortion events Theft of product Theft of assets incl IT, vehicles etc. Cargo theft Stolen goods recovered. Criminal groups disrupted or prosecuted. Financial cost of security measures Group Audit – security grade (red, amber, green) Professional Qualifications: External Recruitment: Degree educated with nationally recognised Security Diploma. Internal Recruitment: Leadership Team recommendation - able to meet the skilled description above. Complete Group Security Induction and mandated advanced modules within 12 weeks.
