Want to change the world?

Unilever is one of the world’s leading suppliers of Food, Home and Personal Care products with sales in over 190 countries and reaching 2 billion consumers a day. Unilever has more than 400 brands found in homes around the world, including Dove, Sure, Persil, Omo, Domestos, and Lynx. Our purpose is “Brighten everyday life for All”.

As one of the world’s largest users of Fragrances, we recognise that creating exceptional fragrances is at the heart of delivering extraordinary consumer experiences and creating world-leading products. Superior fragrances play a critical role in the delivery of unmissable superiority for Unilever. To support this, we have embarked on a fragrance transformation journey to deliver world-class fragrances for our Personal Care, Beauty & Wellbeing and Home Care Business Groups. This transformation will consist of expert fragrance teams creating unmissably superior fragrances that are affordable by design.

What is the role about?
As Fragrance CTI Assistant Manager, you’ll be at the heart of our fragrance innovation journey. You’ll lead consumer testing programmes that decode what people really feel about scent — turning data into insight, and insight into irresistible fragrance experiences.
You’ll be part researcher, part data storyteller, part fragrance futurist — working with perfumers, evaluators, digital teams and more to make sure our fragrances don’t just smell good, but feel right.

What you will be doing:
🎯 Testing Leadership
• Own and run fragrance testing programmes — from concept to delivery — using qualitative, quantitative and technical methods.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate big questions into smart testing strategies.
• Build strong partnerships with internal teams and external vendors.
• Ensure ethical data practices and champion consumer privacy.
• Continuously evolve testing approaches to stay ahead of the curve.
📊 Insights & Data
• Turn raw data into rich stories — creating dashboards, reports and recommendations that drive fragrance development.
• Spot trends, surface insights and influence decisions with confidence.
• Help shape the digital future of consumer insights — from smarter data capture to next-gen visualisation tools.
• Upskill others in data literacy and insight generation.
• Stay curious — explore new research methods and bring fresh thinking to the table.
• Present insights in ways that connect — whether it’s a deep dive for technical teams or a punchy summary for senior leaders.
• Be the voice of the consumer in every fragrance conversation.
🧠 What you’ll bring:
• A degree in Science, Psychology, Market Research, Statistics — or equivalent experience in consumer research.
• Experience in FMCG is a plus, but not essential.
• Proven ability to manage complex research programmes with agility and independence.
• Passion for both qualitative and quantitative research.
• Confidence in briefing and working with research agencies.
• Strong data skills — connecting sources, spotting patterns, and communicating insights.
• Bonus points for experience with statistical tools like Compusense, JMP or SAS.
• Great communication and presentation skills — across teams, levels and cultures.
• Organised, proactive and detail-oriented.
• Adaptable and open to change — with a willingness to travel when needed.

Why join us?
This is your chance to be part of a team that’s redefining fragrance for the future — blending creativity, science and data to create scents that move people. You’ll work in a vibrant, purpose-led environment where your ideas matter and your impact is real.

Smell the change. Shape the future. Join us.
