The Procurement Strategy & Insights Team is serving as the nerve center of the Unilever global procurement organization, enabling the procurement organization to design and deliver step-change across value chains, operating processes and tools, and business models. With vision of Translating Knowledge & Data into Future Fit Procurement Strategy & Insights, this team is responsible for:
Sensing, incubating, and enabling innovative ideas, new business models, and transformation PROCUREMENT STRATEGY & INSIGHTS
on programs for disruptive value creation across procurement teams
Creating and implementing standardized processes and data-driven decision making to ease operating effectiveness and drive better and faster outcomes
Developing and enabling procurement strategies with respective network VPs and portfolio and market teams based on strategic insights
Identifying, scaling, and spreading best practices across the global procurement organization, within and across teams
MAIN JOB PURPOSE
Drive strategy creation across Palm & Surfactants portfolios while working closely with the BGs
Support value creation opportunities based on a deep market expertise, Supplier, Competitor and Industry Insights, as well as benchmarking and cost modelling
Support negotiations with S&I tools such as cost modeling, GAP program, market insights
Procurement Market Intelligence for RM, focusing on external insights, competition benchmarking and generating new insights.
Drive S&I initiatives for Palm & Surfactantsteam
Support key Market Intelligence studies & Backward integration studies and capability build with the portfolio buyers
Support the Digitization journey by helping design and implement various projects in Palm & Surfactants

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Leads the procurement strategy creation with the Palm & Surfactants portfolios while working closely with various BGs and S&I teams
Work with buyers to calculate and approve savings projects according with buying competitiveness methodology.
Effectively identifies Savings through Procurement market Intelligence and drives them for implementation.
Uses the S&I tools effectively to drive value in negotiations
Analyses data to seek trends, patterns, anomalies, and findings that drive useful business insights
With a continuous improvement mindset, leverage the existing tools and responsible for the iteration plan
Closely connected with the Markets and Industry boards, acquiring the relevant intelligence to identify opportunities and creates roadmaps based on promising opportunities
Lead the Insights creation from available data, based on a good understanding of the data architecture and guiding the mining process
Executes detailed Value Chain and market analysis to define opportunities to intervene/intermediate at different levels, considering all the different materials and services we source

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Preferred over 2+ years’ experience in a Procurement / Supply Chain roles either in Unilever / FMCG industry or in a large complex organisation with strong portfolio and market expertise with any Undergraduate bachelor’s in technology/engineering. Consulting experience would be a plus
Ability to work in diverse teams & Complex value chain portfolio, across different geographies
Experience of working in cross-functional teams within a matrix environment – both F2F and virtually
Excellent critical thinking, analytical and story-telling skills in order to respond to multiple market/portfolio specific characteristics and influence change remotely
