DESCRIPTION:
Pepsi Lipton is a Joint Venture formed between PepsiCo and Unilever in order to capitalize on growth of the ready-to-drink tea segment. It is the global leader in Ready-to-drink Iced Tea with a business worth more than $4bn today and consists of three core brands: Lipton, Brisk, and Pure Leaf. The vision is to expand our global leadership and enter new benefit areas with current and additional brands. This is a pivotal moment for the Joint Venture as it looks to re-ignite iced tea’s role as the better-for-you tasty refreshment and grow ahead of beverages.
As a Packaging Developer for Pepsi Lipton packaging, you will be supporting the Global Lipton packaging team with an emphasis on developing packaging platforms capable of unlocking future innovation, productivity and sustainability opportunities for the JV. You will partner with the PepsiCo Packaging Science & Technology team to develop commercialization plans for JV products with technologies ready for to go market. Working directly PLP and PLI business teams, you will support the development of a robust Horizon 2 and 3 packaging pipeline that drives the overall business strategy. Demonstrating a strong global mindset, you will build links with both the product development group in the PLP & PLI as well as the other packaging teams in the sectors, to ensure both R&D and Packaging operate as one R&D.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Global Packaging platform development and program execution.
Harbors a detailed understanding of PEP system packaging capabilities. Assesses opportunities for new programs and drives engagement with appropriate business team counter parts to create and execute programs.
Leverages strong knowledge and experience driving programs across the PEP bottling network to develop go to market strategies that unlock execution opportunities for the Lipton partnership business.
Is involved in building a strong joint venture R&D culture between Product and Packaging R&D teams both in NA and globally.
Fosters strong business team engagement with science and technology teams to create program plans for landing key technologies driving productivity, sustainability and innovation benefits across all JV brands.
Creates and executes JV sustainability strategies that drive rPET and RCBR compliance for Lipton products.
Collaborate with PepsiCo and Unilever S&T teams to ensure incorporation of parent company expertise and cutting-edge technology platforms including format opportunities for beyond the bottle occasions.
Works closely with Global R&D Away from Home team to create market opportunities for impactful packaging capabilities to growth share in AFH occasions.
Actively communicate program status and risks to all stakeholders on a timely basis
Establish project & resource budgets, and provide budget forecasts to PKG Management on a timely basis
Execute program using Technical Stage Gate (TSG) and business team stage gate processes.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering, Environmental Science or related fields.
2-5 years of experience in Commercialization, Packaging Engineering, Sustainability and/or R&D.
Strong technical experience working with beverage PET, glass and aluminum can formats as well as blow molding, filling and closure application technologies.

Program Management: ability to coordinate a complex variety of programs partnering with cross functional project teams. Able to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities in the commercial environment.
Clarity in communications: Simplifying complexity, communicating in a clear and concise manner. Strong presentation skills and speaking ability; effectively interacts with all levels of management and external stakeholders.
Excellent networking skills, building cross-functional and external networks to deliver goals and objectives of the team and organization. Ability to work effectively across functional teams to build a trusted partnership.
Experience in translating ideas to plans and technology trends into operational capability.
Pay: The pay range for this position is $86,080 to $129,120. Unilever takes into consideration a wide range of factors that areutilizedin making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs.
Bonus: This position is bonus eligible.
Long-Term Incentive (LTI): This position is LTI eligible.
