Background & Purpose of the Job
The Kilbourn HRBP is responsible for developing and delivering the people agenda for the factory as the functional leader on-site. This will include, but is not limited to, talent management and succession planning, org design, leadership development, employee engagement, change management, and conflict resolution.
The HR Business Partner in our Kilbourn factory is responsible for connecting people to bring out their best and drive site improvement. This role not only helps tie the leadership team together, but also owns the factory’s relationships in the community. It’s not only about making quality products; but also how you lead people to see themselves as part of something bigger.
Who You Are & What You’ll Do
Develop and deploy the site's people agenda, aligning on strategic priorities with the Factory Director and relevant stakeholders. The HRBP prioritizes effectively to lead delivery of the site's HR strategy, to grow and evolve the site as needed to meet and surpass business metrics.
Business partner to the Plant Leadership Team, so each functional leader can deliver their objectives, lead and grow their people, and implement change.
Leads complex change and transformation programs in alignment with business strategy.
Represents the company to the Union in day-to-day management of the site as well as negotiations.
Maintains an external perspective, anticipates people trends, and translates it into strategy.
Utilizes the talent development process and tools delivered by Expertise Teams in order to meet the capability needs of the site for the short- and long-term.
Collaborates with the business for the creation of a high-performance culture by implementing team and organizational design solutions, providing measurable performance indicators and improvement plans.
Maintains effective employee relations through regular connection with employees across all shifts and roles within the plant.
Fosters a performance culture through effective goal setting, communication skills, and empowerment through responsibility, to build employees' ownership mindset.
Uses consultation skills to bring HR insight to bear on all people related issues (people, capabilities, organizational, leadership and culture).
Leads HR team for site and participates as a leader within the Foods HR network.
Interfaces with many roles and support areas including: Legal, HR Services, HR Operations, HR Expertise Teams, etc.
Utilizes key HR tools, systems and processes to meet the needs of the business on site.
What You’ll Need To Succeed
10+ years of HR experience with at least 3+ years of manufacturing site HR leadership experience. Consumer goods manufacturing experience a plus but not required.
Union relationship management experience is required
Manufacturing site transformation experience required; change management through and delivery of major CAPEX projects
Experience leading teams and creating a culture of high performance, accountability, and continuous improvement
Track record of developing strategic plans and rolling up your sleeves to deliver them
Experience owning leadership development for a site using relevant tools, methodologies, and motivation
Continuous improvement mindset
Ability to influence across functions as a business leader, while bringing HR expertise as relevant
Pay: The pay range for this position is $115,680 to $173,520. Unilever takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs.
Bonus: This position is bonus eligible.
Long-Term Incentive (LTI): This position is LTI eligible.
