Main Accountabilities
As a Customer Business Development Manager - Professional Channels, your primary responsibility is to lead and manage the total B2B sales team in achieving ambitious goals and contributing to the growth strategy of Customer Development. Your role involves strategic planning, team management, and driving sales within the ProChannel sector.
Leadership and Team Management:
- Lead, inspire, and manage the B2B sales team focused on ProChannel accounts.
- Set clear sales targets, objectives, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for the team.
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to help team members achieve their individual and collective goals.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations, coaching sessions, and training programs to develop the team's sales capabilities.
Strategic Planning and Execution:
- Develop and implement a strategic sales plan for the ProChannel sector, aligned with the overall growth strategy of Customer Development.
- Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competition to identify growth opportunities and formulate effective sales strategies.
- Set ambitious sales goals and create action plans to achieve them.
- Continuously monitor sales performance, adjust strategies as necessary, and make data-driven decisions to drive revenue growth.
Customer Relationship Development:
- Build and nurture strong relationships with key customers within the ProChannel sector.
- Collaborate closely with customers to understand their business needs, challenges, and goals.
- Provide tailored solutions and develop value propositions that align with customers' objectives.
- Identify opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and expanding business partnerships.
Sales Performance Monitoring:
- Track and analyze sales performance metrics, such as revenue, market share, and customer acquisition and retention rates within the ProChannel sector.
- Implement effective sales processes, tools, and methodologies to optimize performance and drive results.
- Provide regular sales reports and updates to senior management, highlighting achievements, challenges, and opportunities.
Collaboration and Alignment:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, operations, and finance, to align strategies and resources with ProChannel sales objectives.
- Work closely with these teams to ensure effective product positioning, marketing campaigns, pricing strategies, and operational support for the ProChannel sector.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, communication, and teamwork within the sales team and across the organization.
Market and Competitor Analysis:
- Stay updated on market trends, industry developments, and competitor activities within the ProChannel sector.
- Conduct regular market and competitor analysis to identify opportunities, anticipate challenges, and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Provide insights and recommendations to senior management based on market intelligence to support decision-making and drive growth.
Sales Forecasting and Budgeting:
- Collaborate with senior management to develop sales forecasts, budgets, and targets for the ProChannel sector.
- Monitor and report on progress against these targets, identifying gaps and developing strategies to achieve and exceed sales goals.
- Manage sales expenses and resources effectively within allocated budgets.
Customer Satisfaction and Retention:
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction within the ProChannel sector.
- Address customer concerns, resolve issues promptly, and maintain strong relationships.
- Implement strategies to improve customer retention rates and foster long-term customer loyalty.
Industry Networking and Partnerships:
- Build and maintain a strong network within the ProChannel industry.
- Attend industry events, conferences, and trade shows to stay updated on industry trends, build relationships, and identify potential business partnerships.
- Collaborate with partners, suppliers, and distributors to expand market reach and drive growth.
Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Proven work experience as a national sales manager. Traditional Channel, working experiences with distributors is an advantage.
- Strong Negotiation skills
- People and Stakeholder Management
- Foundational selling and relationship management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong experience in category growth management, commercial strategy, design for channel, execution excellence, data literacy, and business financial acumen.
- Excellent organizational skills, passionate to win, strong sense of teamwork,
- Frequent domestic business trip
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
- Good command of English.
