PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

The BU Chief Digital & Information Officer is empowered to drive the end-to-end digitisation strategy and plan, driving business outcomes as well as strong resilient service delivery for the business unit. The role promotes cross-domain products collaboration and leverage of Power of One initiatives, but also supports a differentiation when it is required to meet the BG-BU strategy. The role proposes, aligns and oversees the end-to-end priorities and plan for UniOps for the business unit, in alignment with the Business Group CDIO strategy and aligns with leadership on OKRs, cost and value measures. In line with the ambition of digitisation, the role is accountable for identifying and landing opportunities for AI and automation into the business, driving productivity as well as growth. The CDIO is accountable for delivery of that plan across products, including leading adoption and change, advocating for user centricity.   Additionally, the role ensures efficient budget management, cost transparency and effective talent development within the CDIO organization.

WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE

  • Acts as single UniOps point of contact for business: acting as a trusted partner as part of the BU leadership team
  • Develops and leads for BG-BU digital strategy (Data, Tech & AI)  and drives the plan in partnership with BU LT partners, Products and BG-BU CDIO team
  • Optimises cost with financial rigor - Provides cost transparency, choices, and acts as front line for all budget discussions with the business unit 
  • Reduces complexity: Brings existing UniOps solutions to bear for Business unit challenges and opportunities, drives decision making on decommissioning  
  • Leads deployment, adoption and change management with the business
  • Aligns BG-BU and UniOps plans to prioritize demand, investment and resourcing and vice-a-versa 
  • Drives change within the Business Unit, lead for shared outcomes between UniOps and the business unit, lands and tracks benefits to P&L / Finance sign-off 
  • First line of support for escalations and challenges from business unit leaders 
  • Business Analytics Team leadership, connecting the dots between business opportunities, data, insights and UniOps tools to drive commercial outcomes

  • In-market engagement/partnering
  • Prior experience in a commercial role
  • Tech or data analytics leadership
