JOB PURPOSE

The primary role of theNew Channel & Horizon 3 Innovation Manager is todevelop channel specific innovation solutions & future capabilities to accelerate the incremental growth coming from our innovation agenda. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead our new channel innovation strategy – especially focusing ondComm, QSR & the discounter channel anddefining channel relevant innovation solutionsto maximisethis growth opportunity.

  • Given these focus areas, the role will form close working relationships with the dCommand CSP teams as well aslocal NRM and marketing teams to ensure effective stakeholder engagement and project delivery. 

  • Focus on the 3-5 yearinnovation horizon, looking to unlock new capabilities needed to deliver more ambitious and pioneering innovation projects of the future that constantly raise the bar to excite and delight our fans

  • Build a strong global cross functional network and set up effective ways of working in order to get ahead with more ambitious and technologically pioneering innovation projects.

  • Constantly support decisions and strategies with data by leading research plans & analysis in partnership with our CMI team.Gather relevant information and analyze market data (syndicated data, competitive intelligence, and consumer research) to identify emerging trends, consumer needs and/or behaviors that provide insights leading to product, concept and packaging innovation for new channels.

  • As the new channel lead, contribute to the development of the global innovation programmeto support the company’s strategic growth goals, deliversustainable incremental business, elevate brand love by recruiting new fans and drive B&J’s brand valuesand social impact.

  • Lead the innovation processspecific to new channels partnering closely with the EUANZ& US Innovation Managers to build a successful global model for product concept development of new platforms and formats.

  • Support the global markets with customer and internal sell-ins, marketing and media briefing, and post-launch support for all new channel innovation platforms.

  • Exhibit commitment to the company’s social mission and Marketing's vital role in delivering all three elements of Ben & Jerry's three-part mission statement.

  • Bachelors’ degree in Marketing, Business or equivalent combination of education and experienceMBA a plus.

  • Relevant years experience as a Brand/Product Marketing Manager in a consumer packaged goods company.

  • Successfully execute plans and projects within a matrix organization structure.

  • Proven ability to create and promote new ideas and concepts.

  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.

  • Proven work experience with a values-led business or demonstrated commitment to social and economic justice agendas.

  • Able to cultivate relationships with key stakeholders representing a broad range of functions and levelsDevelops effective give and take relationships with others; recognizes and effectively balances the interests and needs of one’s own group with those of the broader B&J organization.

  • Ability to communicate across different stakeholder groups to influence decision-making.

  • Persuades others and gains support and commitment from peers and others, mobilizes others to act.

  • Computer, esp. Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
