JOB PURPOSE:
Step into a pivotal role at The Magnum Ice Cream Company (TMICC)—the world’s leading ice cream innovator, driving delight for millions with over a century of expertise. You will work for the Global leading Ice Cream player in a growing category where we are part of the 1 trillion snacking and refreshment industry, growing consistently at high pace. Committed to innovation and quality we have 35 brands, including 3 one billion Euro brands (Magnum, Wall’s, Ben & Jerry’s), a strong presence in over 60 countries, generating annual revenue of over $8 billion.
The ability to drive future innovation and produce high-quality and cost-effective ice cream products relies on effective product data management enabled by an advanced Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system. TMICC is developing a next-generation PLM system to drive operational excellence and use portfolio data for faster decisions. Key features include process standardisation, Supply Chain ERP integration, regulatory compliance check, workflow automation, and AI-driven portfolio analysis.
We are seeking an experienced PLM data expert to lead the end-to-end data migration and implementation globally for a new PLM system across five Ice Cream Business Units. The successful candidate will have the unique opportunity to execute the vision of the Digital landscape of the new Ice Cream Company on a global scale. You will ensure the successful transition of product data in a legacy system into the new PLM system, enabling seamless digital integration across R&D, supply chain, and manufacturing functions. Collaborating with experts across IT, R&D, procurement, system vendors, and industry-leading partners to manage change and global roll-out, ensuring deployments are completed on schedule and in full.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Data Migration Leadership
- Define PLM data migration strategy, including scope mapping, data mapping, cleansing, validation, and transformation to ensure business continuity and meet future reporting requirements such as ESG and regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in R&D, supply chain, factories, IT to identify and prioritize critical data sets for migration.
- Establish and manage data quality standards and governance processes globally.
- Supervise migration script, tool, and automation workflow development, and manage resources for execution.
Deployment Planning & Execution
- Lead deployment planning across multiple business units and geographies.
- Coordinate cutover activities, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
- Manage deployment timelines, risks, and mitigation plans.
- Lead hypercare activities and ensure stability following deployment.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as the primary point of contact for data migration and deployment-related topics.
- Facilitate workshops and training sessions to align stakeholders on data readiness and deployment processes.
- Lead change management by leveraging internal superuser networks and external partners.
- Communicate progress, risks, and issues to senior leadership and program governance.
Technical & Process Expertise
- Collaborate with PLM architects, data engineers, IT, R&D, and Supply Chain teams to align both technical and business processes.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy, security, and regulatory requirements.
- Continuously improve migration and deployment methodologies based on lessons learned.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:
EXPERIENCES & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry and Food Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in PLM systems (e.g., Siemens Teamcenter, SAP PLM, Centric PLM) with a focus on data migration and deployment.
- Experience in R&D product innovation, process development, or supply chain manufacturing and planning.
- Proven experience in large-scale digital transformation or ERP/PLM implementation projects.
- Strong understanding of product data structures, BOMs, specifications, and regulatory data.
- Experience with data migration tools, ETL processes, and scripting languages (e.g., SQL, Python) is highly desirable.
- Excellent project management and stakeholder communication skills.
- Demonstrated expertise in aligning technical solutions with business objectives, enhancing data quality, and managing cross-functional teams to achieve impactful outcomes.
- Proven experience in change management in a system or new way of working.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of manufacturing and R&D processes in Food and Beverage industry.
- Experience with cloud-based PLM platforms and integrations.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
Travel Requirements
Occasional travel (approximately 2–3 times per quarter) may be needed for meetings and workshops to support data migration activities and systems roll-out in Business Units.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
As publicly announced, Unilever will separate its Ice Cream business which is expected by the end of 2025. This role will transfer to the new Ice Cream company.
