JOB PURPOSE

The job gives you an exciting platform to work within a multi-cultural team and grants an opportunity to work with many collaborative (contract) manufacturing (CM) partners across PTAB.

You are the ‘face’ of Unilever towards our CMs. You will be a ‘spider in the web 'for Safety, Quality, Service/ Operational matters thereby maintaining a good relationship with procurement, R&D, planning and central quality team.

You will build in-depth knowledge of the key processes and controls at our CM’s to be able to make trade-offs to improve service and cost with quality always being a ‘non-negotiable’. You will also support and play an active role in several SC manufacturing network projects.

You will ensure products manufactured in third party manufacturers meet Unilever specification, standards and regulatory requirements and provide support for OTIF new product introduction (innovation, rejuvenation, activity requests), execution management and performance improvement.

WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE

You will work together with the PC PTAB CM Operations Lead to drive the below across PTAB:

Portfolio and Operations + Collaborative Relation Management

  • Ensuring a strong professional relation with your CM & Unilever.
  • Support Innovation & LTP teams in specific portfolio management programs.
  • Connect with CM planning team to review service delivery of the CM.
  • Monitors and reports KPIs and provide data aggregation / analysis to maintain a progress report of the CM.  

Trio Team

  • Scopes & selects the CM suppliers for approved projects.
  • Review project briefs and together with the rest of the trio team communicate it to the CM.
  • Reviews the supply chain project compliance document prior to final launch approval and PLE session to evaluate new SKU performance.

Project Management

  • Channel project discussions (innovation/ rejuvenation) with the CM to maintain a clean and fit portfolio (emphasis on following SC guidelines).
  • Supports category organization in Make or Buy studies, including participation in the scoping and selection of new 3PMs.
  • Responsible for Supply Chain input into IB Gate-keeping documents
  • Ensures all Supply Chain aspects of a projects are delivered OTIF.

Quality Assurance

  • Verify and monitor quality systems in operation at CM’s; works along with BG / Cluster Quality for quality issue resolution
  • In consultation with Quality drives intensive care and non-conformance monitoring
  • Notifies Cluster Quality Team potential non-conformances that may lead to a marketplace incident

Capability Development

  • Developing and implementing process and design governance to enable Supply Chain business partner working together to identify to medium/longer term portfolio needs
  • Developing and implementing process and design governance to enable CM operations to cover white spots in the network and developing a plan to fill the white spots
  • Developing & managing a capability-based performance review of the external manufacturing portfolio
  • Managing new CM capabilities into our network; as well as exit plans where appropriate

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

Experiences & Qualifications

  • Team player with excellent communication skills. Experience and skilled in projects
  • At least 2 years of experience in Manufacturing, Supply Chain
  • Good Knowledge of Process and Technology / Equipment associated with an FMCG company
  • Financial awareness / cost understanding.

  • Proficiency in English & Turkish is a must
