JOB PURPOSE

This position is ultimately responsible for the end-to-end financial operation of the Ice Cream Business in Ecuador “Don Pinguino”. As part of the Ice Cream success, the appointment of a strong Finance lead is critical to the delivery IC leadership & people standards, turnover and profit ambitions for the brand and therefore plays a key role in helping drive the broader business agenda through: 

• End-to-end responsibility of the finance function in the country
• Financial rigor and proactive risk management in controlling, accounting, and business performance 
• Creating a business fit for purpose in design, cost, and agility to drive a strong growth and profit agenda. 
• Manage IC model RTM seeking efficiencies in cost to serve and constantly upgrade our model.
• IC standalone company set up with strong collaboration with BU establishment leads to ensure business continuity and sharp separation process.

The appointment of an experienced finance professional will be critical to assist in successfully navigating and leveraging the global capabilities of Ice Cream, while avoiding the some of the corporate and local complexities of an integrated multi-national business. WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE

​​The Ice Cream Ecuador Finance Lead will drive profitable growth and assert our market leadership. He / She will be required to take ownership of all the levers of the value chain to drive the financial growth model and deliver the business results. Your mission in the country is crucial.

​ This position: 

• ​Responsible for Finance operations within the country.
• Responsible for Fixed Assets, inventories and control for all operations for IC Ec.
• Credit and Collection
• Financial performance management
• Commercial Finance for both retail and direct sales distribution channels: Investment strategy
• Marketing financial business partner: Current Ice Cream Portfolio and long-term innovations
• Co-lead business transformation into a more agile organization: Digital and automation projects
• Ensure a healthy business from top, to bottom, and high-quality business results through Performance Management and Business Partnering with all Ecuadorian Leadership Team. 
• ​Translate the IC strategy to a strategic financial leadership agenda, setting long- and short-term performance targets to deliver growth, profit, market share, and other business targets.  
• ​Drive resources and budget allocation to support strategic decision making.
• Overheads ICE Bu Specific Cost Controller. 
• ​Secure the right savings and investments, to have the right technology needed. 
• ​Secure the iTO where investments are made. 
• ​Identify key metrics and hurdles for new business opportunities. 
• ​Safeguard the agenda of new Market Makers. Analyzing new winning models and winning share through different business model propositions. “Helandino” new market expansions eg. Colombia & other countries.
• ​​​Do proactive risk management and controls. 
• Passion to develop, mentor and lead the wider finance team.​ 

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED

Experiences & Qualifications

• Strong financial and business acumen with experience in owning a P&L. 
• Finance Leader with clear capability to navigate through operations in DSD (short term) and Strategy in BU (long term)
• Agile mindset and WoW: accountability, trust, empowerment, collaboration. 
• Always in service of our consumers, customers, and teams, unlocking team’s barriers.   
• Solid strategic thinker, not easily distracted by tactical pressure.  
• Previous experience in the Ice Cream category is highly desirable.  
• The candidate should be a Spanish and English speaker.
