Background & Purpose of the Job
The Associate Process Optimization Manager, CM Logistics, leads Unilever’s Collaborative Manufacturing (CM) Logistics team across North America, with a focus on process excellence, automation, and operational efficiency. This role combines team leadership with deep expertise in logistics process optimization, digital tools, and change management to drive agility, accuracy, and cost-effectiveness across the CM Logistics function.
Designed for a forward-thinking leader, this role is responsible for managing team operations while championing the shift from manual execution to strategic oversight and exception handling.
Who You Are & What You’ll Do
Lead with a Strategic Lens & Inspire
• Manage daily operations and performance of the CM Logistics team, ensuring alignment with Unilever’s broader logistics strategy
• Define and evolve team roles, responsibilities, and KPIs to support a digitally enabled, future-focused logistics function aligned with Customer Operations goals
• Build a high-performance, People First culture through coaching, development, collaboration, accountability, and performance management
Drive Process Optimization and Automation
• Analyze current CM Logistics workflows to identify inefficiencies and automation opportunities
• Translate complex logistics challenges into actionable solutions and process maps
• Lead the implementation of digital tools (e.g., RPA, AI-enabled technologies) to reduce manual tasks and improve efficiency
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies and standardize CM Logistics processes
• Use data and performance metrics to monitor the impact of process changes and drive continuous improvement
Champion Change and Innovation
• Serve as a change agent, driving the adoption of new ways of working
• Promote the use of digital tools and process improvements across diverse stakeholder groups
• Create and share clear process maps and improvement strategies to align teams and drive execution
• Stay current on industry trends in logistics automation and process excellence
What You’ll Need to Succeed
Education & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related field
• 5–7 years of relevant experience, ideally in a manufacturing or CM environment
• Proven leadership and performance management experience
• Expertise in process mapping, automation, and continuous improvement (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma)
• Advanced SAP skills with ability to train others
• Familiarity with digital tools supporting logistics automation
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Additional Information
• Candidates must reside within a commutable distance and adhere to in-person work requirements for the Hoboken, NJ HQ location
Pay: The pay range for this position is $86,080 to $129,120. Unilever takes into consideration a wide range of factors that areutilizedin making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs.
Bonus: This position is bonus eligible.
Long-Term Incentive (LTI): This position is LTI eligible.
