CATEGORY'S INTRODUCTION

Pakistan’s Beauty and Wellbeing is a €225m business and commands the market leadership position in Hair Care. It operates with 6 strong brands (Dove, Sunsilk, GAL, Ponds, TRESemmé and Lifebuoy), 4 of which are power brands for Unilever globally. The business today is supported by one of the most technologically advanced and efficient B&W flagship B&W factories in the PTAB region. With its large consumer base and strong market position, B&W Pakistan is the 2nd biggest market in PTAB region and holds clear strategic importance for the region. 

JOB PURPOSE

The B&W Demand Creation Hair Care & Dove Lead role is responsible for driving consumer demand and achieving business objectives for the haircare portfolio in Pakistan. Additionally, this role will also spearhead the Dove portfolio thereby leading brand equity and communication & engagement strategy to improve brand power in the market.  

As demand creation lead for haircare, this role is pivotal in translating business strategy into actionable marketing plans, leading demand creation teams, driving multi-year scalable innovations and championing a digital-first, social-first approach to brand building and consumer engagement.   

For Dove the responsibilities include owning the brand performance, developing the brand strategy, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver growth, profitability and shared targets for the brand.  

WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE

 The responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following key areas:    

  • Translate the Business Unit's strategic vision into comprehensive Brand Marketing Plans specifically tailored for the market, acting as the guardian of these plans and ensuring their effective implementation to deliver growth across channels.  
  • Oversee all Demand Creation activities for Haircare portfolio in Pakistan, encompassing advertising campaigns, consumer engagement initiatives, Direct-to-Consumer strategies, and the execution of global and local brand innovations. 
  • Lead and inspire the market Demand Creation Teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence in execution. 
  • Build and enhance capabilities within the market in social-first marketing and the evolving media landscape. Act as a driving force and guardian for the quality and consistency of execution across all channels. 
  • Collaborate closely with the marketing team to develop impactful brand assets, create compelling content, and amplify brand messaging across digital and retail platforms in the market. 
  • For Dove: Drive all marketing activities focused on Consumer Demand Creation, including brand activation, consumer insights generation, data analytics, content development, strategic partnerships, and the planning and execution of in-market experiential events across all brands in the haircare portfolio, with coordination responsibilities for Pakistan. 
  • Lead the Digital Marketing agenda, provide stewardship to plan and deliver seamless, engaging digital consumer experiences and campaigns. 

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED

Experiences & Qualifications

  • Strong business acumen and proven experience in marketing, with a strong emphasis on demand generation, brand building and digital marketing within the category.  
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing integrated marketing plans that align with business objectives, drive consumer demand, and deliver measurable results. 
  • Deep understanding of digital marketing channels, tactics, and best practices, including social media marketing, influencer marketing, content marketing, search engine optimization (SEO), and paid advertising. 
  • Proven ability to lead, inspire, and develop high performing marketing teams, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented environment. 
  • Experience working effectively with cross-functional teams, including customer development, product development, finance, and creative agencies, to achieve shared goals. 
  • Strong financial acumen and experience managing marketing budgets, tracking ROI, and optimizing campaign spending. 
  • A demonstrated commitment to B&W’s core values and mission.  
  • Passion and understanding of the external environment and impact this has on brands and consumer experience. 
  • An attitude of humility and learning. Creates Psychological safety since all voices matter.
