JOB PURPOSE

This role exists to support the Centralized Business Model Manager in managing transfer pricing activities, ensuring compliance with the CUBES model, and maintaining financial governance across the region. The analyst will be involved in budgeting, monthly updates, true-up processes, and various governance activities to ensure accurate financial reporting and adherence to Unilever’s financial models.  You’ll be part of a team that believes in doing work that matters — for people and the planet.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

This role requires a broad understanding of Unilever's activities and a helicopter view to assess the impact of changes in the business environment, such as new projects, acquisitions, or disposals, on financial flows. The candidate will have the opportunity to broaden their knowledge of Unilever's overall operations and must possess the competency to ask the right questions to understand ongoing changes and assess their impact on our area of work.

The main activities can be listed as:

  • Transfer Pricing Management:

  • Lead the yearly budget building process, including determining budgeted costs and creating forecasted TP rates.

  • Conduct monthly checks and updates, including updating turnover and operating profit, performing actuals vs. forecast analyses, and creating new rates.

  • Manage the yearly true-up process, including data collection and true-up calculations.

  • Living the Model (LTM):

  • Ensure compliance with the CUBES model by collecting and maintaining critical documents.

  • Assist in various LTM-related tasks such as training updates, self-assessments, and HR exceptions.

  • Tax Audits:

  • Handle yearly requirements and provide explanations during local audits.

  • Centralized Business Model Governance:

  • Contribute to CBM-related projects and profitability analyses.

  • Address questions from various business units and stakeholders.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Professional finance qualification equivalent to CA, CIMA, ACCA with 3+ years’ experience in financial, operational, and business partnering roles.

  • Excellent analytical and communication skills with the ability to respond under pressure.

  • Experience in driving P&L performance improvements.

  • Analytical Skills: Ability to filter and analyze large data sets, adapting to changing data and understanding high-level concepts.

  • Communication Skills: Ability to zoom in for detailed explanations during audits and zoom out for high-level project discussions.

  • Self-Starter: Ability to set personal and internal deadlines to meet company deadlines such as quarter close and statutory close.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Influence and Service Minded: Ability to prioritize requests and provide expert support to MSOs, especially during audits and financial flow changes.

  • Open Mindset: Embrace the development of AI and be willing to invest time and effort to apply AI in daily operations.

  • Eagerness to Learn: Have a keen interest in AI and a can-do mentality to use company-available AI tools optimally
