Reports to: Tamryn Taylor

Scope: Southern Africa

Location: Durban or Johannesburg

JOB PURPOSE

WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE

  • Lead and deploy our ambitious Deos innovation pipeline to drive thought leadership in the market

  • Innovation Communication / Asset Development

  • Lead the creation and deployment of experiential marketing initiatives for our innovations that enhance brand visibility and consumer experience.

  • Outercircle support of Deodorants Agile Squad

  • Help deliver the Deos growth agenda through penetration driving activities

  • Weekly and monthly performance tracking and course correction across the 6 P’s

  • Active management of the brand P&L

  • Track and course correct in market launches to ensure success.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and integration of marketing strategies.

  • Monitor and analyze market trends and consumer insights to inform marketing strategies and initiatives.

  • Measure and report on the performance of marketing campaigns and experiential initiatives, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.

  • Manage and optimize marketing budgets to ensure effective allocation of resources.

  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, partners, and agencies.

  • Drive thought leadership in the market, positioning the brand as a leader in innovation and experiential marketing.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

Experiences & Qualifications

Minumum:

  • 3-4 years experience in brand marketing including innovation leadership and exposure to communication

  • Attended Marketing Foundations course

Preferred:

  • 5 Years + experience

  • Innovation leadership from pre-start to PLE

  • Developed and created a TV asset and KVs from start to finish

  • Experience managing/working with creators and partners

  • Experience landing consumer activities e.g. penetration driving events

Skills

  • Communication assets development

  • Innovation project management

  • Innovation execution

  • Commercial Acumen
