JOB PURPOSE

Home Care is one of Unilever’s five Business Groups and represents a €12 billion business globally. It focuses on household cleaning and laundry solutions through well-known brands such as Dirt Is Good (OMO and Persil), Comfort, Sunlight, Cif, Domestos, and Surf. The division operates in three main categories: Fabric Cleaning, Fabric Enhancers, and Home & Hygiene, with strong market positions worldwide and leadership in emerging markets. The Global Home Care Finance team partners our global cross-functional business teams and other local finance teams to set and implement strategy, drive performance and ensure value generation in almost 100 markets that we operate in. The role offers the opportunity to work as part of a cross-functional team within the Home Care Division which could cover the following areas:

Driving Performance & strategic priorities:

• Development and continuous improvement of an effective performance framework to track key KPIs with BUs and global business partners.

• Monthly performance analysis for both actuals and forecast to extract insights, identify hot spots and drive corrective actions.

• Support the Monthly/Quarterly reporting/planning cadence including FC Reviews and Leadership meetings.

• Preparation and/or analysis of business cases for strategic projects and innovations in the BG.

• Support the long term strategic planning and target setting processes for BUs.
  

Expertise & Leadership:

• Finance leadership with business partners – exposure to a variety of leaders and functions

• Contribute to the development and implementation of the BG Home Care Strategy and agenda, taking ownership of specific initiatives.

Location

In September 2020, Unilever announced the intention to build a new sustainable campus site in Kingston, London to house the employees who currently work in 100 Victoria Embankment in Blackfriars, Lever House in Kingston, Unilever House in Leatherhead and Graze in Richmond. We are creating our own Unilever sustainable, agile work environment, purposefully bringing us together in our own Unilever ecosystem. The campus is due to be completed in early 2025 and will consist of two interconnected buildings, as well as landscaped surrounding areas.

Recruitment Fraud

Cyber criminals advertise fake job adverts with prestigious employers as a way of stealing information or even defrauding individuals out of money. In the most sophisticated cases, they will set up fake websites, which have a similar address to companies like Unilever. They even conduct fake telephone interviews and then offer candidates a role with the proviso they pay a fee for background checks or to cover work visa costs. These types of attacks are becoming more common as more people are looking for employment in the economic climate.

How is Unilever tackling this?

Many of Unilever’s recruitment sites publish a warning to candidates about recruitment fraud. The Cyber Security team also proactively scan for signs of people setting up fake Unilever sites and act to close them down.
