Job Title: Global Assistant Brand Manager Rexona Future Innovation

JOB PURPOSE
This is a great opportunity for an experienced and tenacious senior assistant brand manager / marketer to join the Rexona Innovation team where you will be responsible for working on the premium innovation and Clinical efficacy roadmap for the #1 deo brand globally, making our 1bn EUR worth of business grow ahead of our markets.
We have great ambitions for the future growth of the brand, rooted in understanding our consumers better than anyone else, and delivering to their needs while premiumising the experience of their Antiperspirant through every touch point in hand and in comms. This role will be critical in the Premium/Clinical team to lead in the development of specific new market making innovations that solve consumers efficacy needs, tap into emerging wellness and biocompatible personal care trends and address our future sustainability challenges. The ideal candidate will already be experienced in running innovation and projects autonomously, have a keen eye for design and be immersed in the world of social in and out of work. They will be looking to step into a senior ABM role with lots of visibility within PC’s biggest category and have direct local experience in one of Rexona’s lighthouse markets (Brazil, Mexico, UK, Germany, Indonesia.) It’s a truly exciting opportunity to help craft the direction of the brand, and deliver truly disruptive, relevant and desirable innovation on the cornerstone brand in the category, having a real impact on people’s lives and confidence.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• To develop and lead key innovation projects that will drive thought leadership and share gain in our key markets (Brazil, Mexico, UK, Germany).
• Craft insight-driven brand strategy and plans within the premium innovation funnel to drive long term growth.
• Lead our step into new growth spaces, including 6P development & agile approach to concepting for the innovation
• Lead cross functional teams to collaborate effectively for the project objectives and meet launch deadlines.
• Lead creative communications briefs and global asset development that is unmissable and social-first by design.
• To build, and gain approval of, robust business cases on all innovation projects.
• Development and oversight of clear and inspiring marketing briefs for external agencies to create campaigns.
• Management of key brand operational activities.
• To support the brand team with any ad hoc projects.
• Lead relationship and collaborator with clusters and local teams for the key lead markets.
The role will report into the Senior Brand Manager based in London/UK. The role will interface with Creative and PR agencies and other external partners and internally the Rexona Brand Lead, Rexona Engagement team and deos innovation, R&D, supply chain and finance teams. This will give high visibility with senior stakeholders and a great opportunity to strengthen the candidate`s leadership skills, as well as be part of a highly motivated and passionate cross-functional team!

ALL ABOUT YOU
• Established FMCG marketing experience in a Global team and/or a local team in any region globally with a strong consumer focus preferably focusing on innovation and/or activation
• Or, established experience in a communication agency role (creative, PR, digital) with proven project management experience of delivering campaigns for international markets
• Local market experience in a lighthouse market preferred
• A passion for understanding consumers and shoppers, finding insight and turning it into disruptive solutions
• Proven experience in project management and in working with large, global cross-functional teams and agencies
• Proven experience managing comms development
• Proven experience in understanding complexities of R&D, Supply Chain, CMI and Legal
• Entrepreneurial mindset, challenging the status quo to have stronger impact
• A positive and can-do attitude, rigour, and ability to hold yourself (and others) accountable.
• Sense of Aesthetics, eye to detail and pride in delivering high-quality work and not settling for “good enough”.
• External focus, aware of what is happening in movement and planet beyond your job spec
• Excellent written and spoken communication and IT skills (Word, Excel and Powerpoint).
NOTES
Location
In September 2020, Unilever announced the intention to build a new sustainable campus site in Kingston, London.This site will house some employees who currently work in 100 Victoria Embankment in Blackfriars together with colleagues who are currently located in Lever House in Kingston. We are excited to be creating our own Unilever sustainable, agile work environment. The campus is due to be completed in 2026.

Cyber criminals advertise fake job adverts with prestigious employers as a way of stealing information or even defrauding individuals out of money.In the most sophisticated cases, they will set up fake websites, which have a similar address to companies like Unilever. They even conduct fake telephone interviews and then offer candidates a role with the proviso they pay a fee for background checks or to cover work visa costs. These types of attacks are becoming more common as more people are looking for employment in the economic climate.
How is Unilever tackling this?
Many of Unilever’s recruitment sites publish a warning to candidates about recruitment fraud. The Cyber Security team also proactively scan for signs of people setting up fake Unilever sites and act to close them down.
