Job title: Head of HR - Beauty & Wellbeing Marketing

Location, 100VE (London)

ABOUT US

Beauty and wellbeing are deeply interconnected, enhancing one enhances the other, and compromising one compromises both. Consumers, who no longer see the pursuit of beauty and wellbeing as independent of each other, are seeking solutions that support physical appearance, mental wellbeing, and holistic brands (body, love, soul). Yet the industry has been slow to respond—with 9 in 10 people believing that beauty industry products do not perform above all costs—making people feel that they need to focus on looking good rather than appreciating both how you look and how you feel.

We are taking the lead by converging beauty and wellbeing to meet consumers’ evolving needs. We’re transforming our go‑to‑market, distribution, and innovation together. We are advancing new thinking through market‑leading science which harnesses this convergence. And we’re delivering for consumers by providing them with products that address their holistic needs while delivering the demand for wellbeing benefits.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As Head of HR for Beauty & Wellbeing, you are seated at the very core of one of Unilever’s most disruptive and future-focused business groups. Beauty & Wellbeing is redefining the convergence of science, innovation, culture, and purpose—touching over a billion people every day. This role puts you three steps ahead, anticipating where the industry and organization must go, and architecting the workforce, culture, and capabilities that will get us there. You will report directly to the CHRO of B&W as a senior HR expert in the business group.

  • Act as a trusted advisor and coach to the leader of Beauty & Wellbeing Marketing, fusing the people agenda directly with business strategy.
  • Set and deliver both in-year and multi-year people priorities that future-proof our ambition.
  • Build deep commercial and strategic insight, connecting internal priorities with external consumer, cultural, and market shifts.
  • Own next-generation organization design and workforce planning, positioning B&W as a truly social-first, digital-first organization.
  • Lead major change programs and consultation processes, turning transformation into a competitive edge.
  • Hold full accountability for people investments across the P&L, ensuring resourcing choices drive growth, agility, productivity, and innovation.
  • Partner leadership teams to deliver HR solutions on time, in full, while leveraging the broader HR ecosystem for scale and consistency.
  • Attract, develop, and retain world-class talent, leading succession and development forums to build future-critical capabilities.
  • Embed the One Unilever Expertise & Innovation agenda, deploying experimentation, data-driven interventions, and new practices at scale.
  • Champion the Shape Your Own Adventure approach to careers, enabling progression, growth, and purpose-driven work in a way that’s highly relevant to Beauty & Wellbeing.
  • Ensure continuous two-way dialogue and engagement across geographically dispersed teams.
  • Use HR data and analytics as foresight tools to steer business decisions.
  • Identify learning needs and deliver capability agendas in partnership with Expertise & Innovation and People Growth teams.
  • Build high-performing, future-ready teams through facilitation, coaching, and transformation leadership.
  • Lead, Mentor and develop team of HRBPs, ensuring they can deliver bold, future-focused people agendas.
  • Shape succession and career planning for tomorrow’s leadership, ensuring resilience and readiness across the BG.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Systematic, strategic thinker who sees around corners and designs for long-term impact across business, society, and ecosystems.
  • An owner’s mindset, blending commercial acumen with data-driven insights that simplify complexity and accelerate action.
  • Proven change leader, able to experiment, adapt, and land transformative shifts at scale.
  • A talent catalyst, creating inclusive, high-trust environments where people and performance thrive together.
  • Agile mindset with track-record of delivering adaptive, iterative solutions.
  • Performance coach, offering courageous feedback that accelerates growth for individuals, teams, and the business.
  • Deep business acumen, fluent in the P&L and the levers that unlock growth.
  • People leader who stretches and develops talent to fuel Unilever’s future.
  • Decisive, bold, and courageous—making and standing by tough calls in the interest of Unilever’s whole.
  • Culture builder who creates psychologically safe, diverse, and fearless spaces aligned with Unilever’s values.

Recruitment Fraud

Cyber criminals advertise fake job adverts with prestigious employers as a way of stealing information or even defrauding individuals out of money. In the most sophisticated cases, they will set up fake websites, which have a similar address to companies like Unilever. They even conduct fake telephone interviews and then offer candidates a role with the proviso they pay a fee for background checks or to cover work visa costs.  These types of attacks are becoming more common as more people are looking for employment in the economic climate.

How is Unilever tackling this?

Many of Unilever’s recruitment sites publish a warning to candidates about recruitment fraud. The Cyber Security team also proactively scan for signs of people setting up fake Unilever sites and act to close them down.

What can I do?

If you become aware of potential recruitment fraud, spot fake Unilever recruitment adverts or fake LinkedIn profiles, report them via Una Live Chat.

Unilever does not accept responsibility or liability for any candidates who are financially impacted by recruitment fraud. Your vigilance is key!
