JOB PURPOSE

Unilever is the place where you can bring your purpose to life with the work that you do – creating a better business and a better world.  If you are willing to ensure the smooth operation of mechanical systems and equipment within a production facility by performing preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance tasks and  play a key role in minimizing downtime and maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency then this role is just for you!

WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE

• Perform routine preventive maintenance on mechanical equipment such as conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, mixers, and packaging machines.
• Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out timely repairs to minimize production interruptions.
• Support installation and commissioning of new machinery and equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, spare parts usage, and equipment history.
• Collaborate with production and electrical teams to ensure coordinated maintenance efforts.
• Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and performance.
• Respond promptly to breakdowns and emergencies during shifts.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

Experiences & Qualifications

• Technical Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 2–4 years of experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably in an FMCG or manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and rotating equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
• Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) is a plus.
• Basic understanding of electrical systems is an advantage.
