About Unilever

Unilever International is one of the fastest growing businesses within Unilever with annual TO of ~Euro 1.45bn and there are strong plans in place to reach Euro 2bn in the next 2-3yrs. Business is structured into different Business Groups and Business Units and this role in particular would lead customer service for Singapore market for UI which is a Euro 78M business currently with strong plans to double the business over the next few yrs.

The scope of the role includes customers invoiced out of both UAPL and USPL business in Singapore.

Key Accountabilities:

Business Integration:

• Integrating the USPL and UAPL Singapore go to market operations into one combined operation to drive synergies and efficiency in operations.

• Master data synchronization between the two entities

• Harmonizing warehousing and logistics ways of working and supporting planning and customer service teams in the transition

• Map out E2E cost to ascertain the best/lowest cost servicing model for the Singapore market

• Ensure minimal business loss during transition by working collaboratively with different stakeholders.
  

Warehousing and Logistics Operations:

• Managing warehousing and logistics operations for UI warehouses in Malaysia and Singapore.

• Ensuring smooth day-to-day operations at the warehouse

• Stock control/accuracy through periodic stock counts

• Driving a savings program with the 3PL service provider

• Ensuring right cost accruals based on activities and spends

• Setting and measurement of 3PL service provider performance KPIs and driving an improvement program.

Warehousing and Logistics Strategy:

• Understand end-to-end warehousing and logistics costs in UI and evaluate opportunities for warehouse consolidation.

• Develop and execute warehousing and logistics strategy for Singapore based on long term business growth plan (space, location, warehouse design, etc).

Performance Management:

• Drive the Service, Cash & Cost Agenda for the business:

• Service level monitoring and ensuring no loss due to logistics operations.

• Work with 3PL service providers to monitor warehousing and logistics KPIs and ensure best in class performance across different Unilever entities.

• Drive savings for the business through better distribution network design, reducing business waste due to demurrages/detentions and improved resource productivity in warehousing and logistics.
  

PROFESSIONAL SKILLS

Essential:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or supply chain.
  

Preferred:

• Candidates with APICS certification.

EXPERIENCE
Essential:

• 7 to 8 yrs experience in Supply Chain out of which at least 3 to 4 yrs in logistics/warehousing operations.

• Strong Interpersonal skills

Preferred:

• FMCG experience

Travel:

• Minimal (~10% of the time)
