Role Profile: PEX Director, Greater Asia & Indonesia

Job Purpose
As the People Experience (PEx) Director for Greater Asia and Indonesia, you will serve as a strategic leader driving the delivery & transformation of employee experience across key diverse, high-growth BG-led markets. This role is pivotal in aligning HR strategies with operational execution, ensuring seamless deployment of global technology, processes, and people-centric solutions. You will champion operational excellence, foster continuous improvement mindset, and deliver exceptional service standards that elevate engagement and performance. Acting as a trusted advisor to regional senior HR leadership, you will influence organizational priorities while ensuring compliance, scalability, and agility in a dynamic business environment.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Vision
Define and execute the PEx strategy for Greater Asia and Indonesia, ensuring alignment between local HR priorities, business objectives and global transformation agenda.
Represent market priorities in global PEx forums, advocating for culturally relevant and legally compliant solutions.
Employee Experience Excellence
Oversee end-to-end delivery of People Experience services, including direct leadership for People Partnering, Talent Partnering and service standard accountability for Payroll, Global Mobility, and People Operations.
Implement data-driven insights to continuously improve employee engagement, satisfaction, and productivity.
Governance, Risk & Compliance
Ensure adherence to global and local HR policies, labor laws, and compliance standards across all jurisdictions.
Maintain audit readiness and governance frameworks within the people ops space.
Collaboration with People Ops & Talent Acquisition Hubs
Partner closely with regional People Operations and Talent Acquisition Hubs to ensure seamless service delivery across markets. Partner to deliver cost efficiency and speed.
Establish and monitor Service Level Agreements (SLAs) tailored to market needs, driving accountability and performance.
Talent Acquisition
Lead talent acquisition strategies through in-market teams and Manila TA hub, ensuring agility, driving speed to talent and quality of hires.
Transformation & Digital Adoption
Champion SDM adoption, integrating digital tools and platforms to enhance service delivery and employee experience.
Cascade global PEx innovation to local teams, ensuring scalability and consistency.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and experimentation.
Team Leadership & Capability Building
Lead and develop high-performing PEx teams across all GAI markets, fostering collaboration and capability growth.
Drive a culture of accountability, inclusion, and continuous learning within the team.
Performance & Financial Management
Manage budget and ensure cost efficiency without compromising service quality or employee experience.
Impact & Outcomes
This role is measured by its ability to deliver consistent, high-quality People Experience services that meet or exceed SLAs and support business growth. Success will be demonstrated through improved service metrics, accelerated talent acquisition, and strengthened PEx organizational capability across Greater Asia and Indonesia.

Strong business knowledge and ways of working to deliver change and transformation, with the ability to balance Unilever’s capability needs against those of employee segments.
Experience in managing large remote teams, leading projects from scratch, and facilitating discussions with senior leadership.
Ability to understand and balance local legal and business needs with global priorities. Experience with HR systems, processes, and solutions, as well as managing third-party service providers and virtual teams.
