JOB PURPOSE

Unilever is the place where you can bring your purpose to life with the work that you do – creating a better business and a better world.  This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and passionate Finance Analyst to join the FET team. The role will support the FET manager by preparing relevant reports, templates and ad hoc analysis. It contributes to the effectiveness of the financial planning cycles and of the governance process for investments. If this is what you are looking for, then this role is just for you!

WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE

Planning and Forecasting:

Intensely work with S&OP process quarterly

  • Enforce S&OP and forecasting timetable across ALL EWA markets

  • Lead Cash up of S&OP exercise, ensuring timely closure of the same

  • Collate and review the inputs received from various stake holder

  • PERFORM variance analysis S&OP vs previous S&OP to check for errors and make sure major changes are understood

  • In the future NO change must be made to S&OP outcomes

  • Compile a list of risks and opps from every market to support the FET manager to calculate a contingency for EWA

  • Maintain list of assumptions used for S&OP

  • Lead the Financial FC submission for Ghana and EWA countries as assigned key Stakeholder: EWA GM, EWA HoF, country GMs, Commercial Finance leads, SCF lead

Role in Month end:

  • Completing the analysis of Actuals vs FC by coordinating with SC Finance & FET & ensuring Sign off on WD4

  • Ensuring submission of MEC related reports to global and Uniops on time and of good quality.

Overhead Management:

The FET is responsible for managing overheads for the entire region centrally. This would require

  • Maintain & circulate a template for OH BUDGETING & Actuals tracking

  • Drive the collection of Bottom up

  • Sign off an OH forecast with country GMs Quarterly

  • Review Actuals performance (using standard reports) & hold leaders accountable

  • Own Statistical charges annual calculation for EWA Central Cost and lead yearly statistical cost process.

  • Continuously benchmark internally and externally to ensure EWA Cost base is competitive.

  • Manage Budget transfers across for OVH across EWA.

  • Ensure trackability of OH savings, including from productivity & hold EWALT accountable

Key Stakeholder: Country GMs

Perfomance Review at EWALT

  • Support FET manager to lead a performance conversation at EWALT

Landing Productivity

A key success criterion for the role is to ensure that productivity is landed. This includes

  • Reporting: Reduce ad hoc reporting and support standardization of reports. This will be very important deliverable for the FET and will require liaison with other FET leads within 1 UL markets to develop standard reports that serve most of the performance management and decision support needs.

  • Tracking of productivity savings:  FET  to track the delivery of productivity savings – Key stakeholders are EWA -HR lead, HOF EWA, GM EWA

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED

Experiences & Qualifications

  • Professional finance qualification. CA, CIMA, ACCA is preferred

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in operational and business partnering roles preferably in FET.

Skills

  • Excellent level of excel & SAP skills

  • Good communication and presentation skills

  • Analytical thinking, problem solving attitude
