JOB PURPOSE

The Supply planner is critical to the delivery of supply chain business commitments which means consistency with service across all Brands down to SKU level. The Supply Planning (SP) Specialist will be part of Ghana GTM  team and will be responsible for driving inventory performance, business waste and responsiveness through supporting the compiling and analysis of SC scorecards and various reports, highlighting areas of focus, provide conclusions and propose solutions for areas of improvement by drawing on best practice., If you are passionate about ensuring optimizing supply chain efficiency. then this role is just for you!

WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE

  • Analyze inventory levels and forecast demand to determine Supply requirements for all inventory especially finished goods.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable and timely delivery of inventory.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales , marketing, Demand planning and procurement, to prioritize  orders based on demand forecasts.
  • Monitor inventory levels and implement strategies to minimize stockouts and excess inventory, aligning with Unilever's sustainability goals.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements within the supply chain while adhering to Unilever's ethical sourcing guidelines.
  • Generate reports and provide analysis to support decision-making processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and market conditions to anticipate potential inventory shortages or price fluctuations.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, Unilever’s policies, and quality standards.
  • Support the rollout of global and regional projects from the project funnel and track their Performance
  • Ensure proper internal and external benchmarking on SP KPIs exists and visible to Regional and Global Planning boards performance

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

Experiences & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • - 2 years of experience in Supply planning, procurement, Logistics or supply chain roles, preferably in a manufacturing or production related environment.
  • Proficiency in inventory management and business-related applications including ERP systems
  • Knowledge of industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and emerging trends in supply chain management.
  • Business Acumen: Ability to analyze data, including inventory levels, demand forecasts, and supplier performance metrics, to make informed decisions and optimize Supply planning processes.
  • Supply Chain Management, inventory management and inventory requirements planning: Understanding of supply chain principles and practices, including inventory management, procurement strategies, and logistics coordination.
  • Self-Mastery: Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, develop proactive engagement with suppliers, and provide clear instructions and updates regarding inventory availability. Ability to prioritize effectively, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Detail oriented: Thoroughness and accuracy in monitoring inventory levels, tracking orders, and identifying discrepancies or potential issues in the supply chain.
  • Passion for high performance: Capacity to identify and address challenges in inventory availability, supplier performance to ensure uninterrupted operations.
