EUROPE FINANCE EXCELLENCE TEAM
The Europe Finance Excellence Team (Europe FET) is on the lookout for talented individuals ready to make a real impact. As pioneers of an ‘Above Market’ design, the Europe FET plays a pivotal role in driving key finance operations. This includes month-end closing, forecasting, budget control, management reporting, cash management, and ad hoc decision support, ensuring the smooth financial functioning of European operations. Supporting an €11bn yearly revenue business across the 6 BG Led Markets and 1Unilever Europe organisation, the Europe FET needs someone passionate about finance who is eager to contribute to an environment that values collaboration, growth, and impact.

WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE
Supporting financial month-/quarter-/year-end closing processes for Europe
Assistingpreparation and reporting of forecasts in Overheads and Brand & Marketing Investment Cost Reporting Groups
Support Record to Reportallocations and reconciliations
Managing cost control processes and marketing budgets
Analysing costs and variances vs. budget
Preparing reports, analyses and tools in the Brand & Marketing Investmentand Overheads areas for business partners in Europe
Participating in the process of creatingjournal entries for Brand & Marketing Investmentand Overheads and their ongoing monitoring
Cooperation with business and finance teams to properly conduct cost analysis and financial control
Maintaining cost object Master Data in SAP
Preparing and maintainingmodels distributing costs across European countries and entities
Supportingactuals and forecast reconciliation
Investigating and solving reporting misalignments while staying connected with extended EU FET team members
Improving processes to ensure better data quality and reporting (including work with and development of EU FET cost reporting tools
Being open for expandability of the scope of this role along changing organisation and as the Europe FET develops
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
Experiences & Qualifications
Higher education, preferably in economics/finance
3+ years of experience in finance department with good understanding of accounting principles and systems
Experience at work with big data and data transformation
Experience in working with SAPis an advantage
Skills
Fluent in English (C1)
Well-developed analytical skills – in particular, effectiveness in drawing conclusions based on analyzed financial data
Very good knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel (knowledge of advanced tools as Power Pivot, Power Query and macros is the asset)
Commitment, creativity and innovation
Ability to work constructively in a team, incl. solving reporting issues
Interpersonal skills: communication skills, openness to contact with experienced stakeholders
Independence and good work organization
Ability to work under time pressure
Attitude tocontinuously improve professional skills
Being open to work overtime at month-end closing (used as days-off during the month in less busy periods).
