WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE

As an Ice Cream Asia NRM Lead you are responsible for creating growth strategies for Unilever Asia through portfolio optimization, pricing, active mix management, and promotional spend excellence. You will collaborate and act as a crucial link between the Marketing, Sales, CSP and Finance teams throughout the NRM process to ensure strategy alignment and execution.

As NRM Lead you will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Conduct in-depth portfolio assessments to set brand objectives, identify price realization gaps, highlight white spaces, and ensure price-pack execution to support the brand and portfolio strategy.

  • Optimize channel-customer / pack mix to accelerate profitable growth for Unilever and customers.

  • Evaluate consumer promotional strategies including alignment with brand objectives, promotional responsiveness as well as ROI profile. Recommend an optimal promotion strategy.

  • Evaluate customer trade term’s structure and propose improvements to ensure alignment with portfolio strategy and act as an enabler for the market execution of the NRM program.

  • Identify conclusions through in-depth analysis, using tools/frameworks and methodologies developed for this program.

  • Collaborate and act as a crucial link between the Marketing, Customer and Finance teams throughout the NRM process to ensure strategy alignment and execution.

  • Responsible for relationship management with key stakeholders

  • Lead the NRM performance management cycling, measuring revenue trends across categories, understanding how NRM recommendations are performing in the market as well as collaborating with cross functional stakeholders to drive continuous improvement.

Key Skills, Experiences and Leaderships:

This role sits at the center of the Group and Unit operations and therefore the person must thrive in dynamic, cross functional environments. They will interact with and show an ability to influence stakeholders including BU GM, Country GMs, CBD Head of Country, Market CSP. You should have an Innovation mindset and strong NRM knowledge; experience with Commercial channels execution and digital business models; Commercial Strategy and Business Acumen; Data-Drive Mindset; Customer and Retailer Understanding. 

Strong analytical and data skillset – ability to ask the right questions and curious enough to find the answer. You will be prepared to build the new CSP organization with us as we transition into the new organization and be agile in your scope and approach. Stakeholder Management; Lateral Influence without Authority; Process Thinking (Discipline); Ability to join the dots and show the big picture Relevant Experiences: Prior experience in CD or Finance.

  • Global IC NRM Lead

  • Global NRM team (corporate center)

  • Asia and local CMI team

Qualifications

  • 10+ years experiences within the FMCG industry is crucial. This includes roles in sales, marketing, finance, or revenue management, preferably with exposure to the General Trade Segment in Asia or SEA Market.

  • Direct experience in revenue management roles is essential. This involves managing pricing strategies, promotions, trade spend, and optimizing revenue streams.

  • Demonstrated leadership skills with experience in managing teams, driving results, and collaborating across departments.

  • General Trade Market Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the dynamics, challenges, and opportunities within the FMCG general trade market, including knowledge of distribution channels, retail operations, and consumer behavior.

  • Financial Acumen: Strong financial analysis skills, including proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and P&L management.

  • Analytical Skills: Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques, as well as experience with revenue management software, is highly desirable.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for effectively liaising with internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders.

  • Problem-Solving Abilities: Ability to identify business challenges, analyze data, and develop innovative solutions to drive revenue growth and profitability.
