JOB PURPOSE

Are you up for a challenge and ready to take your finance career to the next level? We are recruiting for the role of Financial Controlling Manager for the Ice Cream Controlling Team. In this role you will have the unique opportunity to gain experience in financial controls, accounting & reporting, liquidity management and value protection, and separation & establishment as well. The Financial Controlling Manager plays a key role in Turkey financial controlling team covering financial accounting and reporting, risk management and control, internal & external assurance and has a wide range of responsibilities

WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE

Risk Management & Controls

• Follow the risk management agenda, ensuring high-quality risk assessments are conducted and risks are appropriately managed
• Understand root causes of issues and identify where controls are not operating and drive remediation through relevant business leaders
• Ensure that the Global Financial Controls Framework is embedded and operating in line with the agreed global model
• Oversight over financial controls operated outside of Finance (e.g. Supply Chain) and drive focus on operational controls across the business
• Maintain and enforce relevant local authority schedules

Accounting & Reporting

• Work on accurate and timely financial reporting for both group and local statutory reporting
• Continuously improve the quality of accounting and implement changes in group & local accounting standards, policies & procedures
• Lead and contribute to a broad range of other financial controlling & accounting activities and projects

Financial Processes

• Deploy the global financial process efficiency programs in the market
• Eliminate, simplify, automate and/or centralise transactional activities

Expertise Areas

• Active oversight of relevant local filings, enquiries, issue management
• Third Party relationship management where delegated by the relevant Global Expertise team

Internal & External Assurance

• Liaise with Corporate Audit & ownership of any follow up actions
• Manage the relationship with local external auditor
• Leading and contributing to a broad range of other financial controlling & accounting activities and projects, depending on personal preference and pipeline of projects.

Local Treasury Operations

• Work closely with Global Treasury and secure sufficient and cost-efficient liquidity, financing and FX hedging considering all relevant FX, tax, legal and operating constraints
• Provide oversight to Treasury operations to ensure compliance to the Global Treasury Standard
• Manage local bank relations
• Implement required standards of risk control and maintain insurance against risks specified in the Global Insurance & Risk Control Standard

• Strong Accounting Skills
• Problem-solving skills, ability to make reliable and objective judgments and conclusions
• You embrace uncertainty, are curious, learn rapidly and flex your approach if required 
• Qualified Accountant or appropriate local qualification,
• Experience in controlling, reporting, accounting,
• Turkish language and advanced English are must,
• Min. 5 years of relevant experience.
