JOB PURPOSE
Join our Beauty & Wellbeing (B&W) Consumer Market Intelligence (CMI) team as an Assistant Manager in Marketing Analytics. As part of Unilever’s B&W Business Group, representing approximately 20% of global turnover, you will be at the heart of some of our most exciting categories, including Skin Care and Hair Care. Our brands, such as TRESemme, Sunsilk, Clear, Vaseline, and Simple, are renowned worldwide.
In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for distilling insights to grow our business, powered by crisp storytelling and the use of multi-source data and advanced analytics. You will support the B&W transformation of how we do CMI: directing our data scientists on what the business needs, collaborating with suppliers so they can deliver high-value data and insights, and advising senior leaders on what is best for B&W.
You’ll support decision-making across the marketing organization through monthly/quarterly reports, strategic reviews, and ad-hoc analyses. You’ll also explore the use of AI tools to enhance reporting, insights, and storytelling.
This role is a career enabler by working closely with the B&W Leadership Team and learn what matters for a global business.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Identifying opportunities for growth by analysing large datasets to extract actionable insights.
• Transforming data into compelling stories, by using data visualization and narrative techniques to present insights in a clear, engaging manner that drives decision-making and strategic planning.
• Advising the data scientists and analysts on business priorities.
• Proactively seeking out and implementing better ways of doing things and assist others in improving their processes.
• Managing key suppliers (e.g., Kantar, Nielsen, Patterns) to meet deliverables.
• Being the single point of contact for data and information traffic for the B&W leadership teams
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Proficiency in Excel.
• Experience in managing projects end-to-end.
• Experience in manipulate data to distil insights and storytelling.
• Strong understanding of the FMCG industry; beauty industry experience preferred.
• Good understanding of Data Management principles.
• Basic understanding of Data Science and Analytics concepts.
• Demonstrated proactivity in problem-solving and root cause analysis.
• Proven ability to remotely collaborate with others.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Social First; category management and/or brand management experience is valuable.
• Experience with data visualisation tools (e.g., Power BI).
• Knowledge of other languages, particularly Chinese Mandarin and/or Cantonese, India languages, Spanish and Portuguese, advantageous but not necessary.
