JOB PURPOSE

Are you ready to work on one of Unilever’s most well-known and exciting brands?        

Dove Men Care is the fastest-growing male Personal Care brand of the last decade, with an ambition to double its size by 2030. Renowned as one of the world’s leading BPC brands, Dove Men operates across Deodorant, Skin Cleansing and Hair categories by bringing superior care that men’s skin truly deserves. DM+C has 60% of its business coming from the US and the brand is still nascent in EU and LATAM with huge potential for further development.  

Reporting to the Dove Men+Care Global Masterbrand Brand Manager in the US, the role will give you the opportunity to drive the equity of the brand through unmissable campaigns and culturally relevant limited-edition innovations to drive the brand’s growth. This is a one-of-a-kind opportunity to have a very meaningful part in defining the future brand strategy of Dove Men, lead Limited Edition innovation projects, craft one of the largest unmissable sports campaigns in the history of the brand and independently partner with the U.S. market. This is a challenging and high-visibility role for someone looking to become a brand manager in the near future.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead Masterbrand communication development process for 2026 campaign end-to-end, collaborating closely with our agency partners 
  • Deliver Dove Men’s revamped social strategy and executional guardrails with agency partners and land unmissable organic and paid social work in line with defined strategy
  • Support global visual identity workstream and collaborate with global and local teams as brand steward to ensure consistent visual identity, brand messaging and execution across markets
  • Help drive DM+C Brand Community on all things Brand Equity, Purpose, and Social
  • Develop and manage brand budgets ensuring efficient and effective use of resources
  • Support the team on developing the North America Limited Edition roadmap including identifying concepts, securing collab partners, and socializing internally with key stakeholders
  • Independently lead project networks to deliver Limited Edition mixes on-time-in-full by partnering closely with the cross functional teams across R&D, Finance, Supply Chain and Fragrance
  • Partner closely with U.S. team as the lead market to ensure Dove Men + Care growth trajectory

  • Demonstrable skills and/or inclination in the following areas: 
  • Being at the edge of social, early adopter of new social tech. 
  • Passion for reinventing the playbook for brands to win in social. 
  • Consumer understanding – understanding young guys better than anybody else, being connected to them and immersed in their culture. 
  • Data-driven approach – being excellent at using data to make informed decisions and recommendations. 
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and out-of-the-box thinking – not taking things for granted and challenging the status quo when it gets in the way, applying critical thinking and creativity to problem solving. 
  • Influencing skills – being comfortable working with senior stakeholders and able to influence them.

Location

In June 2020 we announced our plan to consolidate a number of Unilever’s offices across the South East of England into a new Unilever campus in Kingston-upon-Thames in or around early 2025. However, on the 08 August 2024 we announced to our existing staff our proposal to retain our central Head Office in London, 100 Victoria Embankment (“100VE”) until our lease expires in 2027. As a result of this new proposal, we will be consulting with our existing staff, and new joiners who join during this period of consultation at 100VE, on the proposal made in August 2024. During consultation we will clarify the future location of each team and function. This means your role will either be based in 100VE until 2027 or in Kingston-Upon-Thames from early 2025. As we are yet to commence consultation on the proposal you agree, until such a time when consultation has concluded, your normal place of work as set out in the enclosed Statement of Terms & Conditions will be 100VE. You agree that on the conclusion of the consultation your place of work will be 100VE or 100VE until early 2025 and then Kingston-upon-Thames ("the locations") and you will be notified of which of the locations will be your place of work after that consultation ends.

Cyber criminals advertise fake job adverts with prestigious employers as a way of stealing information or even defrauding individuals out of money.In the most sophisticated cases, they will set up fake websites, which have a similar address to companies like Unilever. They even conduct fake telephone interviews and then offer candidates a role with the proviso they pay a fee for background checks or to cover work visa costs. These types of attacks are becoming more common as more people are looking for employment in the economic climate.

How is Unilever tackling this?

Many of Unilever’s recruitment sites publish a warning to candidates about recruitment fraud. The Cyber Security team also proactively scan for signs of people setting up fake Unilever sites and act to close them down.
